Mindfulness of Letting Go

Join us for a day of mindfulness in nature: Whether you are new to mindfulness or wish to expand your practice, you will benefit from this day of mindfulness with the theme of letting go of that which is holding you back. Together we will set intentions and let go of the habit energy blocking our mindful life.

We will practice sitting meditation, walking meditation, loving kindness, and mindful eating in the beautiful natural setting of Surprise Farm Retreat Center. Join us for the day, stay for fire pit storytelling, or spend the night in one of the comfortable glamping tents. Then join us for morning meditation and yoga.

MEET YOUR GUIDE : Marina Dorian, PhD

Marina Dorian, PhD is an associate professor in the Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling Program at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. She is a meditation instructor, psychologist, and life coach specializing in mindfulness-based therapy and relationships. Her interests include meditation, yoga, dance, outdoor adventure, and travel.

ITINERARY

  • Orientation and introductions, setting intentions, creating openness through mindfulness

  • Mindfulness of the breath 

  • Discussion of awe, nature as teacher and healer, acknowledging our challenges in ourselves and in the world, preparing for openness

  • Walking meditation

  • Discussion on practice of letting go and being in the now

  • Loving-kindness meditation, labyrinth walk, gentle yoga

  • Mindful eating: light farm-fresh dinner

  • Sunset meditation

  • Fire-pit and Letting Go Ritual

  • For those staying overnight:

  •        Morning meditation & yoga

Workshop, including light farm-fresh dinner, is valued at $80.
